Arscape is a project created in 2021 as a collaboration with the duo NUUK, with the intention of creating reactive visuals using Unreal Engine to take a dreamlike journey through mystical and surreal scenes populated by artifacts that react to different sound elements, thus generating an interaction between the music, the space, and the audience. Each live performance is a new journey, as the visuals are controlled live by both the musician and Jacobo García de Hoyos (https://jg-hoyos.com) as an additional member on stage.

In keeping with the overall concept, this video is uncut or edited; it is a complete take recorded with OBS and played back seamlessly, creating new interactions with each live performance. On June 26, 2025, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a new NUUK live performance with Arscape at Neue Zukunft Berlin.

The fourth release by Berlin-based NUUK once again showcases the duo’s deep connection to field recordings and synthesized sounds, resulting in a captivating journey through natural imagery. NUUK’s music is characterized by an escapist mood, evoking narratives of northern landscapes: the sea, majestic fjords, sparse greenery, and enchanted forests. The duo’s compositions also reflect the fragile, ephemeral nature of an endangered world—melting glaciers, vanishing flora and fauna, and shifting seasonal cycles.

'FOUR' is NUUK’s most bass-heavy work to date, boldly emphasizing the arduous efforts of seafaring in the subarctic. Dive into a sonic scenery of nature recordings, contrasting harmonies, and parameter-controlled melodies.
